“Ese beso ni siquiera fue un beso. Fue lo que hoy diríamos un roce de labios. Pero fue suficiente para quedarse conmigo toda la vida”, confiesa Dudamel al hablar del origen de esta canción. Inspirada en su juventud en Barquisimeto, y en una vivencia fugaz durante sus años de liceo, “El Beso” es también una metáfora del tiempo, del deseo de regresar a una emoción pura e irrepetible.
Musicalmente, el tema se construye con una elegancia orquestal que sostiene la fuerza narrativa de su voz y su trombón.
