Gabriela Ortiz Gana Mejor Composición Clásica Contemporánea En La 26.ª Entrega Anual Del Latin GRAMMY® Por Revolución Diamantina
La composición fue interpretada por la Filarmónica de Los Ángeles, el LA Master Chorale y el director musical y artístico Gustavo Dudamel.

El pasado 13 de noviembre en el MGM Grand Garden Arena en Las Vegas, la Academia Latina de la Grabación® anunció a los ganadores de la 26.ª edición anual de los Latin GRAMMY Awards®. El sello Platoon, propiedad de Apple, se enorgullece de compartir que la compositora mexicana Gabriela Ortizfue galardonada con el Latin GRAMMY® a Mejor Composición Clásica Contemporánea por Revolución diamantina, interpretada por la Los Angeles Philharmonic, el LA Master Chorale y el director musical y artístico Gustavo Dudamel. Este reconocimiento representa un nuevo logro para la creciente división Classical de Platoon y reafirma el compromiso del sello con la excelencia musical latinoamericana. El premio se suma a los numerosos galardones obtenidos por Revolución diamantina en la 67.ª edición anual de los GRAMMY Awards®.
Revolución diamantina es una poderosa nueva partitura para ballet, inspirada en la Revolución Diamantina del 2019 en México, el levantamiento feminista en torno a la epidemia de violencia contra las mujeres en el país. El aumento de los feminicidios fue el detonante de esta movilización y el nombre surge de un evento en el que manifestantes arrojaron brillantina rosa al jefe de policía para denunciar la falta de respuesta tras la violación de una mujer por agentes locales. La obra fue encargada por la LA Phil y estrenada por la orquesta y Gustavo Dudamel el 16 de noviembre de 2023.

Las Vegas – Nov. 21, 2025. At the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, the Latin Recording Academy® announced the winners of the 26th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards®. Apple-owned label Platoon is proud to share that Mexican composer Gabriela Ortiz was awarded the Latin GRAMMY® for Best Classical Contemporary Composition for Revolución diamantina, performed by the Los Angeles Philharmonic, LA Master Chorale and Music & Artistic Director Gustavo Dudamel. This recognition represents further recognition for Platoon’s expanding Classical division and reaffirms the label’s commitment to Latin American musical excellence. The award follows numerous wins for Revolución diamantina at the 67th Annual GRAMMY Awards®.
Revolución diamantina is a powerful new ballet score, inspired by Mexico’s 2019 “Glitter March,” the feminist uprising around the country’s epidemic of violence against women. The increase in femicide was a catalyst for this mobilization, and the name stems from an event during which protesters threw pink glitter at the chief of police, denouncing the lack of response following the rape of a woman by local officers. The work was commissioned by the LA Phil and premiered by the orchestra and Gustavo Dudamel on 16 November 2023.
