Miami, FL — La super estrella colombiana Camilo presenta “El Árbol”, el primer sencillo de su esperado quinto álbum de estudio, Para Cuando Sean Mayores. El tema está disponible en todas las plataformas digitales.
¿Qué harías si te dijeran que hoy sería la última vez que experimentarías algo en tu vida? Bajo esta premisa, Camilo construyó la historia detrás de “El Árbol”, una reflexión profunda sobre la incapacidad de los adultos de vivir en el presente y apreciar las bendiciones que ocurren cada segundo la existencia humana.
“Recordar la última vez que hice algo, y darme cuenta de que no me di cuenta que era la última vez. El último abrazo a esa persona que tanto quise, la última vez que vi a mis amigos del colegio, la última vez que monté la bici de mi infancia. Para “El Árbol”, Camilo encontró en el pop un vehículo luminoso que serviría de guía para esta historia, que inicia con una trampa que, a pesar de ser consciente de su existencia, nos hace tropezar una y otra vez.
En los versos, el seis veces ganador del Latin GRAMMY® va describiendo los espejismos que nublan nuestros días, nos desconectan de la esencia de quienes somos y de lo efímera que es la vida.
Con la nostalgia y el arrepentimiento de vivir con el pie en el acelerador, Camilo hace su descarga en el coro: “Si hubiera sabido, me hubiera abrazado al momento, no esperar a que se haga recuerdo, pa’ ignorarlo después. Si hubiera sabido, que correr no tiene sentido, si yo hubiera sabido, que era la última vez, tal vez no lo hubiera sido”.
El tema es la primera puerta que Camilo abre en el universo de Para Cuando Sean Mayores, una producción que construyó a partir de la necesidad de regalarles a sus hijas, Índigo y Amaranto, una especie de manual de instrucciones para la vida adulta.
Pero, sin que él lo buscara, este álbum terminó siendo un salvavidas para el cantautor y un anhelado reencuentro con el niño de 8 años que era capaz de detener el tiempo en medio de los juegos y contemplar su paso desde su escondite favorito de la infancia: un árbol de limón.
Tal como Camilo lo compartió recientemente en un newsletter para La Tribu: “Estoy acordándome de mí. Estoy retomándome. Es como la sensación de quien olvidó lo que iba a decir y, después de pasarse un día entero tratando de recordar lo que olvidó, por fin lo recuerda”.
El tema tuvo su estreno televisado durante la gala de Premios Juventud 2026 en Marbella, España, a la que Camilo llegó con dos nominaciones: La Mezcla Perfecta por “Carteras Chinas”, junto a Elena Rose y Los Ángeles Azules, y Mejor Canción Pop por “Si Tuviera Que Elegir”, con Ricardo Montaner y Evaluna.
Para Cuando Sean Mayores se estrena a poco más de dos años de la publicación de cuatro, la cuarta producción discográfica de Camilo, que marcó la exploración de la salsa que le valió una triple nominación al Latin GRAMMY®2024. A la fecha, Camilo suma 33 nominaciones a los Latin GRAMMYs® en su carrera.
Camilo llevará el álbum a los escenarios con la gira “Para Cuando Sean Mayores Tour”, que iniciará en en Estados Unidos, con paradas en ciudades como Miami, Orlando, Chicago y Nueva York. La gira continuará en octubre, noviembre y diciembre con presentaciones confirmadas en Puerto Rico, Paraguay, Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Perú, Ecuador y Colombia.
En febrero de 2027, Camilo llevará el tour a México y visitará ciudades como Tampico, Hermosillo, Ciudad de México, Puebla, Villahermosa, Cancún, Mérida, Guadalajara y Monterrey.

Miami, FL. — Colombian superstar Camilo unveils “El Árbol,” the first single off his highly anticipated fifth studio album, Para Cuando Sean Mayores. The track is out now on all digital platforms.
What would you do if you were told today was the last time you’d ever experience something? That’s the premise behind “El Árbol,” a deep reflection on adults’ inability to live in the present and appreciate the blessings packed into every second of human existence.
“Remembering the last time I did something, and realizing I didn’t realize it was the last time. The last hug with someone I loved so much, the last time I saw my friends from school, the last time I rode my childhood bike. If only I had known,” Camilo shared on his Instagram account in mid-August. Watch the announcement here.
For “El Árbol,” Camilo found in pop a luminous vehicle to guide this story, one that opens with a trap that, even when we’re aware it exists, still catches us over and over again.
Across the verses, the six-time Latin GRAMMY® winner traces the illusions that cloud our days, pulling us away from the essence of who we are and from how fleeting life truly is.
Wrestling with the nostalgia and regret of living life with one foot on the gas, Camilo lets it all go in the chorus: “Si hubiera sabido, me hubiera abrazado al momento, no esperar a que se haga recuerdo, pa’ ignorarlo después. Si hubiera sabido, que correr no tiene sentido, si yo hubiera sabido, que era la última vez, tal vez no lo hubiera sido,” which translates into English as: “If I had known, I would have held onto the moment; I wouldn’t have waited to become a memory, just to forget about it later. If I had known that running makes no sense; if I had known that it was the last time, maybe it wouldn’t have been.”
The track marks the first door Camilo opens into the world of Para Cuando Sean Mayores, an album he built out of the need to give his daughters, Índigo and Amaranto, a kind of instruction manual for adult life.
But without meaning to, the album became a lifeline for the singer-songwriter — and a long-awaited reunion with the 8-year-old boy who could stop time mid-play and watch it drift by from his favorite childhood hideout: a lemon tree.
As Camilo recently put it in a newsletter to La Tribu: “I’m remembering myself. I’m reclaiming myself. It’s like that feeling of forgetting what you were about to say, and after spending a whole day trying to recall it, it finally comes back to you.”
The song made its televised debut at the 2026 Premios Juventud ceremony in Marbella, Spain, where Camilo arrived with two nominations: La Mezcla Perfecta for “Carteras Chinas,” alongside Elena Rose and Los Ángeles Azules, and Best Pop Song for “Si Tuviera Que Elegir,” with Ricardo Montaner and Evaluna.
Para Cuando Sean Mayores arrives just over two years after cuatro, Camilo’s fourth studio album, which marked his exploration of salsa and earned him a triple nomination at the 2024 Latin GRAMMYs®. To date, Camilo has racked up 33 Latin GRAMMY® nominations over the course of his career.
Camilo will take the album on the road with the “Para Cuando Sean Mayores Tour,” kicking off in the U.S., with stops in cities including Miami, Orlando, Chicago, and New York. The tour continues through October, November and December with confirmed dates in Puerto Rico, Paraguay, Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, and Colombia.
