Silvestre Dangond y Juancho De La Espriella presentan “El Último Baile”: una reunión histórica y emotiva que celebra la esencia del vallenato

Miami, FL. 14 de Mayo, 2025 – Después de más de una década de caminos separados, Silvestre Dangond, uno de los artistas más influyente de la música en Latinoamérica, y el acordeonero Juancho De La Espriella vuelven a encontrarse en una obra que no solo marca el reencuentro de dos grandes exponentes del género, sino que también se convierte en un testimonio de sanación, madurez y arte genuino. “El Último Baile”, que será lanzado oficialmente este 12 de mayo, es un álbum profundamente emocional, construido desde la honestidad y el respeto mutuo, simplemente desde el deseo de hacer música.

Compuesto por 13 canciones cuidadosamente seleccionadas, “El Último Baile” se aleja de fórmulas predecibles para explorar nuevas emociones y sonidos sin abandonar la raíz que los consagró como uno de los dúos más exitosos de la historia del vallenato. Compositores de la talla de Omar Geles, Lucho Alonso y Frankie Moya, entre muchos otros, se suman a esta obra que además incluye temas escritos por el propio Silvestre, como “La Que Me Alborota”, “El Malcriao” y “El Dolor de Cabeza”, tres canciones que, según los artistas, reflejan la esencia de Silvestre, y los conectaron espiritualmente durante el proceso creativo.

“El álbum no busca competir con nadie, ni llenar expectativas comerciales. Su propósito es emocional, genuino. Es un proyecto nacido del deseo, no de la necesidad”, asegura Dangond. Por su parte, Juancho confiesa: “Primero nos dimos gusto nosotros, sabiendo que al hacerlo también le daríamos una alegría inmensa a millones de seguidores que soñaban con este reencuentro”.

La grabación inició en septiembre del año pasado, en un ambiente íntimo y festivo en casa de Silvestre, donde cada instrumento, cada arreglo, cada letra fue trabajado con la complicidad y la alegría de quienes saben que están viviendo algo irrepetible.

Se destaca “Volvamos A Ser Novios”, compuesta por Omar Geles, en la que se dejó parte de su voz como un homenaje a su legado. Una de las canciones más emotivas es “Secreto Raro”, un merengue que casi queda por fuera del disco, pero que encontró su lugar gracias a la intuición artística de Silvestre y cuenta con la interpretación de “El Palomo”, padre de Silvestre, quien lo acompañá como gesto de amor, gratitud y honra. “Sin él, nada de esto sería posible”, afirma el artista.

“El Último Baile” no solo es el título del álbum, sino también una declaración consciente: este será el último proyecto conjunto entre Silvestre y Juancho, no por falta de cariño ni magia, sino por respeto a sus carreras individuales y a la esencia del momento. “No queremos arrastrar esta experiencia al desgaste del tiempo. El Último Baile, set for official release on May 12, is a deeply emotional album, built on honesty and mutual respect—born purely from the desire to make music.

Composed of 13 carefully selected tracks, El Último Baile steers away from predictable formulas to explore new emotions and sounds, all while staying true to the roots that made them one of the most successful duos in vallenato history. Renowned songwriters like Omar Geles, Lucho Alonso, and Frankie Moya, among many others, contribute to this album, which also includes original songs written by Silvestre himself, such as “La Que Me Alborota,” “El Malcriao,” and “El Dolor de Cabeza”—three tracks that, according to the artists, capture Silvestre’s essence and spiritually reconnected them during the creative process.

“The album doesn’t aim to compete or meet commercial expectations. Its purpose is emotional and genuine. This is a project born from desire, not necessity,” says Dangond. Recording began in September of last year, in an intimate and festive setting at Silvestre’s home, where every instrument, arrangement, and lyric was crafted with the joy and synergy of two artists living an unrepeatable experience.

A standout track is “Volvamos A Ser Novios,” composed by Omar Geles, which features part of his voice as a tribute to his legacy. This song will serve as the album’s centerpiece. Its video was filmed live and in a single take during the recent Vallenato Festival in Valledupar. One of the most emotional songs is “Secreto Raro,” a merengue that was nearly left off the album but found its place thanks to Silvestre’s artistic instinct. It features vocals by “El Palomo,” Silvestre’s father, who joined the recording as a gesture of love, gratitude, and honor. “Without him, none of this would be possible,” says the artist.

El Último Baile is not only the name of the album—it’s a conscious declaration: this will be the final joint project between Silvestre and Juancho.
