Por segundo año consecutivo, Carín León se lleva a Hermosillo el Premio Grammy® Al Mejor Álbum De Música Mexicana Contemporánea

Febrero 4 de 2026 — Hace instantes en Los Ángeles, Hermosillo volvió a brillar en el mapa musical luego de que su estrella multidiamante, Carín León, conquistara por segundo año consecutivo el premio GRAMMY® al Mejor Álbum de Música Mexicana Contemporánea (incluyendo Tejano) por Palabra de To’s (Seca).
Esta es la segunda victoria del originario de Sonora en los GRAMMY® y el segundo premio que recibe Palabra de To’s (Seca). El primero lo obtuvo en noviembre al imponerse en la categoría de Mejor Álbum de Música Mexicana Contemporánea en los Latin GRAMMYs® 2025, donde también estuvo nominado a Álbum del Año. Además, la colaboración con Maluma, “Si Tú Me Vieras”, recibió una nominación a Mejor Canción Regional Mexicana en la misma ceremonia.

Palabra de To’s (Seca) es la versión extendida de su aclamado álbum Palabra de To’s, grabado originalmente en Hermosillo, Sonora. Esta edición incluye cuatro temas inéditos, entre los que destacan dos colaboraciones estelares: con las superestrellas latinas Maluma en “Si Tú Me Vieras” y con Alejandro Fernández en “Me Está Doliendo”.
La producción consolidó a León como el embajador global de la Música Mexicana al reunir a 28 reconocidos compositores, mayoritariamente mexicanos, bajo la curaduría de Edgar Barrera, ganador del Latin GRAMMY® como Compositor y Productor del Año.
Esta nueva victoria en los GRAMMY® refuerza la influencia de Carín León en el mercado anglosajón, territorio en el que se ha abierto paso en los últimos años con presentaciones en escenarios históricos como el Grand Ole Opry y el RODEOHOUSTON, y con colaboraciones que trascienden fronteras lingüísticas y musicales junto a artistas como Kacey Musgraves, Kane Brown y Leon Bridges.
Este es el primer reconocimiento que Carín recibe en 2026, un año que figura como histórico. En marzo, el cantante llevará a su natal Hermosillo, Sonora, el primer festival musical de talla mundial, La Cura Fest.
Creado por el intérprete, quien también estuvo a cargo de la curaduría musical del evento, La Cura Fest llevará al desierto sonorense a estrellas como Alejandro Sanz, Jelly Roll, Kany García, entre otros.
Además, en septiembre Carín hará historia en Estados Unidos al ser el primer latino en presentarse en la Sphere de Las Vegas con una serie limitada de conciertos producida por AEG Presents.

This marks the Sonora native’s second GRAMMY® win and the second accolade for Palabra de To’s (Seca). In November, the album triumphed in the Best Contemporary Mexican Music Album category at the 2025 Latin GRAMMYs®, where it was also nominated for Album of the Year. Additionally, his collaboration with Maluma, “Si Tú Me Vieras,” earned a nomination for Best Regional Mexican Song at the same ceremony.

Palabra de To’s (Seca) is the extended version of his acclaimed album Palabra de To’s, originally recorded live in Hermosillo, Sonora. This edition features four previously unreleased tracks, including two stellar collaborations with Latin superstars Maluma on “Si Tú Me Vieras” and Alejandro Fernández on “Me Está Doliendo.”
The LP solidified León’s position as the global ambassador of Mexican Music, bringing together 28 renowned composers—primarily Mexican—under the curation of Edgar Barrera, Latin GRAMMY® winner for Songwriter and Producer of the Year.
This latest GRAMMY® win reinforces Carín León’s growing influence in the English-language market, where he has carved out a presence in recent years with performances at iconic venues including the Grand Ole Opry and RODEOHOUSTON, and through collaborations that transcend linguistic and musical boundaries with artists such as Kacey Musgraves, Kane Brown, and Leon Bridges.
This is Carín’s first recognition in 2026, a year poised to be historic. In March, the singer will bring the region’s first world-class music festival, La Cura Fest, to his hometown of Hermosillo, Sonora. Created by the performer, who also served as the event’s music curator, the festival will bring stars including Alejandro Sanz, Jelly Roll, and Kany García to the Sonoran Desert.
Additionally, in September, Carín will make U.S. history as the first Latino artist to perform at Sphere in Las Vegas with a limited concert series produced by AEG Presents.
