Maca & Gero el dúo colombiano comienza el año con “Debería Ser Yo”

Miami, Fl. 30 de enero de 2025. El dúo de pop colombiano Maca & Gero sigue mostrando pistas de lo que será la nueva etapa de su carrera musical. Después de finalizar el 2025 con “Rompecabezas”, los artistas presentan “Debería ser yo”. Una balada pop en la que ambos artistas se metieron en el papel de sentir y transmitir ese sentimiento de querer estar con alguien que ya está con otra persona.
“Es una canción que trata un tema vulnerable, es un punto de vista que se siente como un ahogo, como impotencia, pero con esperanza. Por eso sabíamos que tenía que ser una canción gritable, que se sintiera como un himno” – Maca & Gero.
“Debería ser yo” es un tema que tuvo varias versiones y pasó por diversos géneros musicales hasta lograr la versión final. Esta exalta el proceso que están viviendo y mantiene la esencia de la nueva etapa que Maca & Gero están explorando para su próximo proyecto.

El videoclip de este tema mantiene la estética y el concepto de lo que será el próximo proyecto de Maca & Gero. El video refleja ese sentimiento de tener a alguien tan cerca, pero tan lejos al mismo tiempo.

Sobre Maca&Gero
En 2021, los amigos María Camila Clavijo y Gerónimo Blain encontraron en la música una forma de contar historias reales con un sonido único. Desde entonces, fusionaron sus voces en melodías que comenzaron a enamorar a quienes escuchaban sus canciones.
Con el paso del tiempo, en 2025 lanzaron su primer álbum: Uno más uno. En este proyecto se incluyen temas como “Aunque no sea yo”, “Pero Casi” y “Mariposas Amarillas”, entre otros. Ahora, en su nueva etapa con Sony Music los artistas presentaron este año “¿Qué pretendes?”.
Gracias a su propuesta, han compartido escenario con artistas como Niall Horan, Carlos Vives y Bacilos. Además, lograron un sold out en el Teatro Astor Plaza y se han presentado en algunos de los espacios más relevantes de Colombia, como el Movistar Arena, el Teatro Mayor, y festivales como Estéreo Picnic y Megaland.

Miami, Fl January 30, 2026. The Colombian pop duo Maca & Gero continues to reveal clues about what will be the new stage of their musical career. After closing out 2025 with “Rompecabezas,” the artists present “It Should Be Me.” A pop ballad in which both artists stepped into the role of feeling and conveying the emotion of wanting to be with someone who is already with another person.
“It’s a song that addresses a vulnerable topic; it’s a point of view that feels like suffocation, like powerlessness, but with hope. That’s why we knew it had to be a song you can shout, one that feels like an anthem.” – Maca & Gero.
“It Should Be Me” is a track that went through several versions and different musical genres until reaching its final version. This highlights the process they are going through and preserves the essence of the new stage that Maca & Gero are exploring for their upcoming project.

About Maca & Gero
In 2021, friends María Camila Clavijo and Gerónimo Blain found in music a way to tell real stories with a unique sound. Since then, they have blended their voices into melodies that began to captivate those who listened to their songs.
Over time, in 2025 they released their first album: One Plus One. This project includes tracks such as “Even If It’s Not Me,” “But Almost,” and “Yellow Butterflies,” among others. Now, in their new stage with Sony Music, the artists have released “What Are You Trying to Do?”, “Rompecabezas,” and “It Should Be Me.”
Thanks to their proposal, they have shared the stage with artists such as Niall Horan, Carlos Vives, and Bacilos.
