Fito Páez Se Corona Con Dos Premios Latin GRAMMY® Por Novela Y “Sale El Sol”

Las Vegas, NV — 17 de noviembre de 2025 — La leyenda del rock en español, Fito Páez, recibió este jueves el Latin GRAMMY® al MEJOR ÁLBUM DE ROCK por NOVELA, su obra maestra que comenzó a escribir en 1988 y culminó 36 años después. También ganó el premio a la MEJOR CANCIÓN DE ROCK por “Sale el Sol”.

“Muchas gracias a Gustavo Borner y a Diego Olivero, mis dos compañeros de aventura. Hicimos un álbum muy zarpado para la época, en épocas de TikTok y de déficit de atención”, dijo Páez al recibir el premio a NOVELA. “Contamos una historia en 25 canciones y es uno de los álbumes que me tiene muy orgulloso. Y, por supuesto, gracias a José María Barbat y a todo el equipo de Sony España, que me lo dio todo para hacer un disco imposible en un momento imposible. La música sigue viva y va a seguir viva forever and ever”, agregó.

El legendario artista argentino también agradeció a los miles de votantes por elegir “Sale el Sol” como la MEJOR CANCIÓN DE ROCK. “Que salga el sol, por favor, en este mundo que está ardiendo, cayéndose a pedazos. El álbum (NOVELA) termina con una canción que desea eso. Ningún hombre ni mujer de bien puede desear otra cosa en este mundo explotado. Que salga el sol, que vuelva el amor, que vuelva la amistad, que los corazones se junten a través de la música, aun mejor”, dijo el intérprete.

Con las victorias, Páez suma 13 Latin GRAMMYs® en su carrera, consolidando su legado como uno de los artistas más condecorados en la historia de la Academia Latina de la Grabación.

NOVELA es la gran obra musical de Páez, un álbum de 25 canciones inéditas que invita a los oyentes a adentrarse en un viaje musical y cinematográfico por un pueblo recóndito de la provincia de Santa Fe, Argentina.

El álbum fue compuesto por Fito Páez, producido por el propio intérprete junto a Gustavo Borner y Diego Olivero, y grabado en los míticos estudios Abbey Road de Londres y en los estudios de Sony Music 5020 de Madrid.

Previamente, Páez ganó el Latin GRAMMY® al Mejor Álbum Latino de Rock o Alternativo en 2019 por La Conquista del Espacio y ha sido nominado en cinco ocasiones a los premios GRAMMY®, incluida una nominación a los GRAMMY® 2026 por NOVELA en la categoría Mejor Álbum Latino de Rock o Alternativo.

FITO PÁEZ WINS TWO LATIN GRAMMY® AWARDS FOR NOVELA AND “SALE EL SOL”

Las Vegas,, NV. November 17, 2025 — Spanish-language rock legend Fito Páez received the Latin GRAMMY® for BEST ROCK ALBUM on Thursday for NOVELA, his magnum opus that he began writing in 1988 and completed 36 years later. He also took home the award for BEST ROCK SONG for “Sale el Sol.”

“Many thanks to Gustavo Borner and Diego Olivero, my two adventure companions. We made a very bold album for the times, in the TikTok era of short attention spans,” Páez said upon receiving the award for NOVELA. “We told a story across 25 songs, and it’s one of the albums I’m most proud of. And, of course, thank you to José María Barbat and the entire Sony Spain team, who provided me with everything I needed to create an impossible album at an impossible time. Music is still alive and will remain alive forever and ever,” he added.

The legendary Argentine artist also thanked the thousands of voters for choosing “Sale el Sol” as BEST ROCK SONG. “May the sun rise, please, in this world that’s burning, falling apart. The album (NOVELA) ends with a song that wishes for just that. No good man or woman can wish for anything else in this exploited world. May the sun rise, may love return, may friendship return, may hearts come together through music, even better,” the performer said.

With these wins, Páez brings his total to 13 Latin GRAMMYs® to his career, solidifying his legacy as one of the most decorated artists in the history of The Latin Recording Academy.

NOVELA is Páez’s monumental musical work, a 25-track album of previously unreleased songs that invites listeners on a musical and cinematic journey through a remote town in the province of Santa Fe, Argentina.

The album was written by Fito Páez, produced by the artist himself alongside Gustavo Borner and Diego Olivero, and recorded between the legendary Abbey Road studios in London and Sony Music’s 5020 studios in Madrid.

Previously, Páez won the Latin GRAMMY® for Best Latin Rock or Alternative Album in 2019 for La Conquista del Espacio, and has been nominated five times for the GRAMMY® Awards, including a 2026 GRAMMY® nomination for NOVELA in the Best Latin Rock or Alternative Album category.
