“Ella Mccay” Cast And Filmmakers Including Academy Award®-winning Writer/Director/Producer James L. Brooks Celebrate World Premiere In Los Angeles
20th Century Studios’ Heartwarming Comedy Releases in Theaters This Holiday Season on Dec. 12
The cast and filmmakers behind 20th Century Studios’ upcoming family comedy “Ella McCay,” including Emma Mackey, Oscar® winner Jamie Lee Curtis, Ayo Edebiri, Spike Fearn, Julie Kavner, Rebecca Hall, Joey Brooks, Albert Brooks, Woody Harrelson, Academy Award®-winning writer/director/producer James L. Brooks, p.g.a., and producers Richard Sakai, p.g.a., Julie Ansell, p.g.a., and Jennifer Brooks, convened at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood earlier this evening to celebrate the film’s spectacular world premiere.
Executive producers Colby Pines, Seth William Meier and Amy Brooks, production designer Richard Toyon, co-producer Aldric La’Auli Porter and casting director/co-producer Francine Maisler, CSA, were also in attendance.
In the uplifting comedy, Emma Mackey stars as Ella McCay, an idealistic young woman who confronts the toughest time in her life… and then hope walks in. Written and directed by Oscar® and Emmy Award® winner James L. Brooks (“As Good as It Gets,” “Terms of Endearment,” “Broadcast News,” “The Simpsons”), “Ella McCay” features an all-star cast including Mackey, Jamie Lee Curtis, Jack Lowden, Kumail Nanjiani, Ayo Edebiri, Spike Fearn, Julie Kavner, Rebecca Hall, Becky Ann Baker, Joey Brooks, with Albert Brooks and Woody Harrelson.
