Miami, FL. 8 de Octubre, 2025 – Esta noche, el icónico Empire State Building iluminó su torre mundialmente famosa con un vibrante color rojo en honor al Silvestrismo, un movimiento cultural y musical que ha trascendido fronteras, llevando el vallenato a escenarios internacionales de la mano de su máximo representante, el cantante colombiano y tres veces ganador del Latin GRAMMY®, Silvestre Dangond. La iluminación también se enmarca dentro de la conmemoración del Mes de la Herencia Hispana, celebrando el orgullo, la identidad y el legado de la comunidad latina en todo el mundo
La ceremonia especial de iluminación, realizada el lunes 6 de octubre, incluyó el primer encuentro con fanáticos en la historia del Empire State Building, protagonizado por Dangond, quien continúa siendo una figura clave en la evolución y expansión internacional del género vallenato. Actualmente, Silvestre Dangond está nominado a los Latin GRAMMY® 2025 en la categoría “Mejor Álbum de Cumbia/Vallenato” por su más reciente trabajo discográfico, “El Último Baile”, título que también lleva su exitosa gira de conciertos por su natal Colombia.
Después de la ceremonia, Dangond recorrió el famoso Observatory Experience del edificio, recientemente nombrado como la Atracción #1 del Mundo en los Travellers’ Choice Awards 2024 de Tripadvisor: Lo Mejor de lo Mejor, y Atracción #1 en EE.UU. por tercer año consecutivo. Posó para fotos desde los observatorios de los pisos 86 y 102, con una vista panorámica de la ciudad que hoy refleja el color de su movimiento: el rojo.

Miami, FL – October 8, 2025 – Tonight, the iconic Empire State Building lit its world-famous tower in a vibrant red to honor Silvestrismo, a cultural and musical movement that has transcended borders, bringing vallenato music to international stages through its leading figure: Colombian singer and three-time Latin GRAMMY® Awardwinner, Silvestre Dangond. The lighting also forms part of the celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, recognizing the pride, identity, and legacy of the Latino community around the world.
The special lighting ceremony, held on Monday, October 6, featured the Empire State Building’s first-ever fan meet-and-greet, headlined by Dangond, who remains a key figure in the evolution and global expansion of the vallenato genre. Currently, Silvestre Dangondis nominated for the 2025 Latin GRAMMY® Awards in the category of “Best Cumbia/Vallenato Album” for his most recent project, “El Último Baile” — which also gives its name to his highly successful concert tour across his native Colombia.
Following the ceremony, Dangond toured the building’s world-renowned Observatory Experience, recently named the #1 Attraction in the World in Tripadvisor’s 2024 Travelers’ Choice Awards: Best of the Best, and the #1 Attraction in the U.S. for the third consecutive year. He posed for photos from the 86th and 102nd floor observatories, overlooking a city that tonight glowed in the color of his movement: red.
