El sencillo retrata el dilema de un personaje que huye de los vínculos emocionales, pero que al mismo tiempo teme enfrentarse a la soledad y al olvido.
Musicalmente, “Nací Para Olvidar” transita por la delgada línea donde convergen la polka norteña y el country/folk americano. “El folk siempre ha sido una influencia constante en mi obra, pero en los últimos años descubrí la polka norteña y este género se convirtió en una nueva pasión para mí. Tras escucharlo con frecuencia, la mezcla de ambos estilos surgió de manera natural desde el primer momento”, comenta Christian Meier.
Fiel a la esencia de toda su discografía, Christian Meier es el autor de la letra y la música de “Nací Para Olvidar”, reafirmando su sello personal en cada proyecto. La canción fue grabada en Los Ángeles bajo la producción de Gustavo Borner y contó con músicos de gran trayectoria: Gregg Bissonette en batería, Matt Bissonette en bajo y Dean Parks en pedal steel, que le da ese toque “americana” al tema. El resultado es una base rítmica sólida y arreglos orgánicos que refuerzan la identidad de la canción.

The single portrays the dilemma of a character who runs from emotional ties, yet fears facing loneliness and oblivion.
Musically, “Nací Para Olvidar” walks the fine line where northern Mexican polka and American country/folk converge. “Folk has always been a constant influence in my work, but in recent years I discovered northern polka, and this genre became a new passion for me. After listening to it frequently, the blend of both styles came about naturally from the very beginning,” says Christian Meier.
True to the essence of his entire discography, Christian Meier is the writer of both the lyrics and music for “Nací Para Olvidar”, reaffirming his personal stamp on every project.
