“A Tribute to Benny Moré and Nat King Cole” une legados de dos leyendas
Miami, FL, 27 de agosto de 2025.- (@MinayaPR) Ayer en celebración del natalicio del legendario músico cubano Benny Moré (24 de agosto), se lanzó oficialmente el álbum “A Tribute to Benny Moré and Nat King Cole”, una producción de jazz que honra a dos íconos cuya conexión histórica nunca llegó a concretarse en vida.
Aunque ambos compartieron época —Benny Moré llevando su música a Estados Unidos y Nat King Cole actuando en La Habana—, nunca se conocieron en persona. El disco imagina ese encuentro, fusionando jazz con ritmos latinos en una narrativa cargada de nostalgia.
La producción incluye ocho temas: cuatro clásicos de Moré y cuatro de Cole: Te Quedarás, Unforgettable, Preferir Perderte, When I Fall in Love, Fiebre De Ti, Quizás, Quizás, Quizás (Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps), Camarera De Mi Amor y Smile.
El proyecto está liderado por el pianista Gonzalo Rubalcaba, ganador de múltiples premios GRAMMY® y Latin GRAMMY®, junto al arreglista, productor y saxofonista Yainer Horta, y el joven saxofonista Joey Calveiro.
Completan la formación José Armando Gola (bajo acústico), Hilario Bell (batería), Richard Bravo (percusión) y Fernando Teo Calveiro (guitarra).
Grabado en vivo y en cinta en Criteria Recording Studios bajo la ingeniería de Carlos Álvarez, el álbum fue mezclado por el ingeniero Oscar Autie en El Cerrito Records,quien también realizó la mezcla en un formato de audio inmersivo (ImmersiveAudio / Dolby Atmos) para una experiencia sonora envolvente de la más alta calidad.
La masterización estuvo a cargo de Felipe Tichauer en Red Traxx Mastering. La producción musical y general de “A Tribute to Benny Moré and Nat King Cole” fue realizada por Yainer Hortay Jossel Calveiro, mientras que la producción ejecutiva estuvo a cargo de Jossel Calveiro, Kenya Autie y Fernando Teo Calveiro.
Este proyecto cuenta con la gerencia de Ángel Zamora y la coordinación de producción de María González, bajo el sello discográfico Calveiro Entertainment LLC.

“A Tribute to Benny Moré and Nat King Cole” unites the legacies of two legends
Miami, FL, August 27, 2025 (@MinayaPR) Yesterday, on Aug. 24, in celebration of the birthday of legendary Cuban musician Benny Moré, the album “A Tribute to Benny Moré and Nat King Cole” was officially released.
The jazz production honors two icons whose historical connection never materialized during their lifetimes. Though both lived in the same era — with Moré bringing his music to the United States and Nat King Cole performing in Havana — the two never met in person
The album imagines that encounter, blending jazz with Latin rhythms in a nostalgic narrative. The production features eight tracks: four classics by Moré and four by Cole: Te Quedarás, Unforgettable, Preferir Perderte, When I Fall in Love, Fiebre De Ti, Quizás, Quizás, Quizás (Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps) , Camarera De Mi Amor and Smile.
The project is led by pianist Gonzalo Rubalcaba, a multiple GRAMMY® Award and Latin GRAMMY® winner, alongside arranger, producer and saxophonist Yainer Horta, and young saxophonist Joey Calveiro.
The lineup is completed by José Armando Gola (acoustic bass), Hilario Bell (drums), Richard Bravo (percussion) and Fernando Teo Calveiro (guitar).
Recorded live to tape at Criteria Recording Studios under the engineering of Carlos Álvarez, the album was mixed by engineer Oscar Autie at El Cerrito Records, who also created an immersive audio mix (ImmersiveAudio / Dolby Atmos) for a surround sound experience of the highest quality.
Mastering was handled by Felipe Tichauer at Red Traxx Mastering. The musical and overall production of “A Tribute to Benny Moré and Nat King Cole” was carried out by Yainer Horta and Jossel Calveiro, while the executive production was led by Jossel Calveiro, Kenya Autie, and Fernando Teo Calveiro.
The project was managed by Angel Zamora with production coordination by María González,under the record label Calveiro Entertainment LLC.
